Goldorak exhibition

From September 15 to October 30, the House of Japan presents an exhibition on Goldorak (Ufo robot Grendizer).

On July 3, 1978, Goldorak (created by Gō Nagai and Toei Animation a few years earlier) arrived in France and upset the youth programs of television. The French public discovers then the Japanese pop culture and the success is dazzling.

The exhibition is divided into several parts. Each part is populated with sets from the anime with life-size characters.

First we discover drawings and celluloids.

Then a whole space presents the derived objects. The first pages of magazines exposed illustrate well the success that the series met.

The exhibition ends with the place of Goldorak in today’s pop culture.
