A half-cute, half-scary Halloween hanging

Today I’m going to show you how to make a cute Halloween hanging.

Every year we try to make a Halloween craft. This time, I propose to make a hanging from materials that I advise you to always have at home. This is a very practical base to have on hand to keep the children busy on rainy days for example. You can easily find materials on online sites. I prefer sites that sell sets because it is very practical to make Christmas or Easter crafts to give to uncles, aunts, grandparents, nannies etc.

I’m thinking of making an article with materials that will allow you to do a lot of crafts with the children.

Googly eyes are a must-have in our house. We stick them everywhere, they give a funny look to a lot of objects, which is a lot of fun for children.

To make this suspension, you will need :

  • black cardstock
  • different coloured yarns
  • googly eyes
  • black pipe cleaner
  • different coloured pompons
  • a wooden bead
  • a black marker
  • glue, scissors

For the cutting of the word Halloween, I have put the files at the bottom of the article (one for cutting by hand and one for cutting with the cameo silhouette).

Let’s do some DIY!

Colour the large wooden bead black.

Glue the googly eyes onto the pom-poms.

Thread a pipe cleaner through the black bead. Leave it hanging out to make the spider’s legs and then add six small pieces of pipe cleaner at the bottom so that the spider has eight legs. Add the googly eyes.

Attach wires to the pom-poms and spider, then attach the wires to a strip of cardboard the same width as your Halloween sign.

Fix the Halloween sign to the cardboard strip to hide the wires.

That’s it! Your suspension is now complete
