Sketchbook Monday #2

I come back this week with the latest sketches and a preview of illustrations that will be part of my kickstarter project.

I made this sketch for the #animaloon_collective challenge on Twitter. You can see the illustration here.

Some sketches and patterns about autumn.

I’m thinking about illustration and packaging for Halloween.

And here, some sketches I did about the Eighties. These are the first ideas I had for my kickstarter project and you will seen this week that they have evolved.

See you soon!

Sketchbook Monday #1

Today I want to inaugurate a new category on the blog to show you the sketches I make to seek inspiration or just to wring my hand before start an illustration.

I share them every day (or almost!) on Instagram, but I thought it would be nice to show them also to those who do not use this application.

I did several layout tests with a tiger. The one on the right was my Instagram followers favorite, so I think to make an illustration with it.

To work more patterns I participate in the weekly challenge of Spoonflower. I opened a shop on this site and you can order fabrics, wallpaper and gift wrap. The first pattern is on Halloween and you can vote for me here.

I drew a few monsters. Maybe I will make an activity book for kids.

Here is a preview of a colorised version.

Fruits and vegetables to keep the doctor away. 😉

Here is the sketch of the illustration you can see here.

I made a sketch to say welcome at baby Frida.

My Redbubble shop

Recently I added new products in my Redbubble shop. Do you know this website? It is an e-shop where you can find uncommon designs on everyday products from international artists. Illustration, photography, manga style or pictural style, there is something for everyone.

All of these creations are printed on very different products and they have a broad catalogue. Mug, tote bag, phone case or scarf, you will find what you are looking for.

As an artist, I like the fact that the website is user friendly. I can share a design easily with only one file. I can also adapt my design to fit the product perfectly by adding other files.

I ordered several times on Redbubble and I’ve never been disappointed. The delivery time is correct and always indicated.

This week, I created cement tiles pattern because it is a decorative element that I like very much. This kind of work give a lot of possibilities to play with colors and forms.

Then, I had the idea to use these patterns in my Redbubble shop and I’m very happy with the result. I would like to try this pattern with tea towels but it is not a product that you could find in the shop. Perhaps in the future? It would be perfect because the cement tiles is very trendy in the contemporary kitchens.

You can find in my shop three different patterns and I will add other designs shortly.

What is your favorite?

You can also find in my shop other illustrations. In these pictures, you can see the good quality of the products that I ordered.

The pink flamingo mug is here and the circus purse here.

You knew this website?

I will probably add illustrations shared on the blog. Look at the illustrations category or in my portfolio and tell me if you want me to add your favorite illustration in my Redbubble shop.

See you soon!
